ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
Under Texas Local Government Code 2254.002, the City may enter into a Professional Service Agreement for licensed physicians and medical services on the basis of demonstrated competence. The City has contracted with Marathon Health for ten years. In that time, Marathon has proven to be a valuable partner in the health and wellness journey for our employees. They have built a rapport with our employees and are the first call for many when a health or wellness need arises. Staff recommends contracting with Marathon Health for a three-year period, to be paid annually, with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods with management fee adjustments capped at 12% in year two, 9% in year three, and 5% in years four and five.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the professional services agreement and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute all necessary documents as set forth in the caption above.
