ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

City staff applied for and received a TxDOT Highway Improvement Safety Project (HSIP) grant for the intersection of West Main Street, FM 1171 and Garden Ridge Blvd. in July 2023, in response to concerns voiced by nearby residents. The grant covers the cost of construction for intersection improvements to address safety concerns in the intersection with the City providing the design. It is in the best interest of the City and the State for the City to enter into an Agreement for the intersection improvements project at FM 1171 and Garden Ridge Blvd intersection.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the resolution and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the agreement as set forth in the caption above.
