ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

The City Council awarded a construction contract to Sundt Construction on April 4th, 2022, in the amount of $16,571,806.02 which included a contingency of $789,133.62. The Construction began in May 2022 and is complete. Since the contract was awarded, there have been 23 change orders approved by staff totaling $668,975.60. The subject change order for additional required railroad flagging for $422,050 exceeds the remaining contingency balance by $301,891.98 thus requiring City Council approval. Change order #23 is the last change order for the project.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the change order and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the change order as set forth in the caption above.
