ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
A total of seventy-seven (77) bid invitations were downloaded from Bonfire. Four (4) bids were received and opened on November 5, 2024. After evaluation, it was determined that J.B. and Co. LLC offered the lowest, responsive bid to the City. The scope includes a 12’ wide concrete hike and bike trail with pedestrian bridges and low water crossings following the Timber Creek Greenbelt. There will also be trailhead access points along the trail that will include seating, bike racks, trash/recycling receptacles, wayfinding and environmental graphics. This Construction Agreement will award the primary east-west Trail B section. Construction for this project is expected to take 13 months. Funding for this project consists of 4B, Bond and General Funds within the Timbercreek Trail project.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the award and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the contract as set forth in the caption above.
