ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

The Business 121 Corridor Plan includes using public art to enhance the visual appeal and pedestrian atmosphere along the corridor. Arts staff identified a sculpture project that could be commissioned within the current Public Art budget and would be a good fit for SH-121 Business. Planning staff helped identify possible locations. The site that has been selected is on property owned by Denton County. An easement agreement is needed to allow the city to install and maintain the sculpture on County property.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the agreement and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to sign the agreement as set forth in the caption above.
