ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

The Texas Transportation Commission approved the 2025 Unified Transportation Program and associated project selection process, authorizing funding allocations for critical transportation infrastructure improvements. The City of Lewisville proposes to procure materials for traffic signal equipment standardization and install the equipment at various locations within the City. The Texas Department of Transportation will provide an Advance Funding Agreement establishing the terms and conditions for the Project. Project costs are anticipated to be allocated through 80 percent federal reimbursement and 20 percent Transportation Development Credits participation. The City will be responsible for 100 percent of Project overruns, if any, after the maximum obligated federal amount is reached. The resolution authorizes the City Manager or her designee to prepare the final Advance Funding Agreement for subsequent City Council approval.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council approve the resolution as set forth in the caption above.
