request
ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
The Lewisville 2035 Vision Plan was created to guide City decision-making over the next decade. Informed by more than 10,000 community touchpoints and guided by a 120-member Steering Committee, the plan centers on five BIG Moves: Economic Engines, Lifelong Livability, Natural Networks, Integrated Infrastructure, and Distinctive Destinations. Five overarching themes, or Threads-Sustainability, Future-Ready, Safety, Connections, and Communication-weave through these BIG Moves, yielding 139 targeted action items. Following a month-long public comment period in September 2026, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended unanimous adoption (4-0) of the plan on October 6, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council adopt the Lewisville 2035 Vision Plan as set forth in the caption above.
