ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

This is a request to revise Policy Statement 3.0, Finance - Section V - Purchasing, which will raise dollar thresholds for Council approval and delegation authority for the City Manager or her designee, and clarify bonding requirements.  This policy revision streamlines processes and enables departments to procure products and services more efficiently, while reducing procedural burdens.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the revised purchasing policy as set forth in the caption above.
