ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

The City desires that signal equipment at interchanges along I-35 be compatible with standard traffic signal operation and existing City of Lewisville signal equipment. It is in the best interest of the City and the State for the City to assist the State by furnishing some traffic signal equipment for the I-35 Project. The City has requested the State to reimburse the cost of furnishing certain traffic signal equipment at the intersections of IH-35E at Corporate Dr., IH-35E at BUS 121, and BUS 121 at Mill St. (collectively, the “Project”). The City desires to enter into an Agreement for the Furnishing of Traffic Signal Equipment by a Municipality with the State so that the City can be reimbursed by TxDOT for the costs of furnishing certain traffic signal equipment for the Project.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the resolution as set forth in the caption above.
