ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

The Office of Emergency Management received notice from the Texas Office of the Governor’s Homeland Security Grants Division that the City of Lewisville has been awarded a grant in the amount of $127,787 to purchase a mobile barrier system.  This grant is part the State’s Urban Area Security Initiative to build and sustain capabilities necessary to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism. 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the resolution as set forth in the caption above.
