ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

These changes to the Unified Development Code (UDC) are proposed to align with state statute and streamline processes, specifically by updating requirements related to the posting of public hearing notices; by providing exemptions as allowed by the state for "Comprehensive Zoning Changes"; by allowing for concurrent advertising of City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission public hearings; and by clarifying procedures for the protest and withdrawing or rescheduling of an item.  The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended unanimous approval (7-0) on July 7, 2026.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the ordinance as set forth in the caption above.
