ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
A special event permit application has been received for the Buffalo Hirsch One-Year Anniversary event, scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 206 West Main Street in Old Town Lewisville. The event will be open to the public, and the applicant anticipates approximately 400 to 500 attendees. The event is planned to include live music, a temporary stage, and additional outdoor seating. The submitted site plan places the stage and seating area within Charles Street adjacent to Buffalo Hirsch. To accommodate the event, the applicant has requested the temporary closure of Charles Street between Main Street and Elm Street from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. on October 11, 2026, for a total closure duration of approximately 14 hours. Lewisville City Code Section 7-149 (Special Events) limits street closures to four (4) hours unless otherwise approved by the City Council. Because the proposed closure exceeds four hours, Council approval is required.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the temporary street closure associated with the Buffalo Hirsch One-Year Anniversary as set forth in the caption above.
