ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

The Lewisville Parks & Recreation Department seeks approval to submit a grant application to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to participate in the Local Park Grant Program to develop the Valley Vista Nature Park. The total maximum funds available through the Program is $500,000 with a 100% matching requirement.  Matching Funds are available and have been earmarked in the 4B Cash Fund.  Staff is working with Studio Outside and P, R, & S, LLC. to develop a master plan for the site and a grant application that will maximize scoring opportunities in the application.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the resolution as set forth in the caption above.
