ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
In anticipation of expiring mowing and landscaping contracts and concerns of continuity of service, the city sought to identify a contractor(s) to provide mowing and landscaping services for five different zones 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. A total of seventy-six (76) requests for proposals were downloaded from Bonfire. Seven (7) proposals were received and opened on November 24, 2025. Based on the evaluation matrix included in the request for proposals, Yellowstone Landscape received the highest evaluation score for the bid and is being recommended for the award for Zones 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 as the best value to the City. The contract for Zones 4 and 5 awarded by Council on May 5, 2025 will be extended with the current contractor to ensure coverage is maintained. Yellowstone will serve as the secondary vendor for those zones. Funding is available through the Parks and Recreation and Public Services department operating budgets.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the award and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the contracts as set forth in the caption above.
