Approval of a Bid Award for the Construction of the King Arthur Boulevard Traffic Calming Project to Quick Set Construction, LLC, Inc., in the Amount of $441,947.17; and Authorization for the City Manager, or Her Designee, to Execute the Agreement.

ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
Due to documented speeding along King Arthur Boulevard, staff initiated a traffic calming project to improve roadway safety and neighborhood livability. The Contractor will furnish all materials, labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete construction. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, installation of bike lanes, parallel parking, pavement markings, enhanced sidewalks, crosswalks, ADA ramps, landscaping, curb bulb-outs, and related improvements along the 1.5-mile corridor. A total of forty-nine (49) bid invitations were downloaded from Bonfire. Two (2) bids were received and opened on January 21, 2026. An evaluation of all bids was performed, and Quick Set Construction, LLC is recommended for award as the lowest responsive responsible bidder. Funding is available in the King Arthur Blvd Traffic Calming capital project.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the bid award and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the agreement as set forth in the caption above.
