ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

The City of Lewisville, a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement community, has submitted its 2026 Annual Action Plan as required by HUD to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.  Agreements have been prepared for each of the non-profit entities receiving CDBG funds. The City’s CDBG allocation for FY 2026-27 is $821,411, a decrease of $26,195 from the 2025-26 Plan Year allocation of $847,606. The CDBG Advisory Committee reviewed and scored all non-profit applications that were submitted in March 2026, after which the Committee recommended awards and allocations. CDBG awards were presented to Council on August 3, 2026, for approval as part of the Annual Action Plan.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council approve the resolution as set forth in the caption above.
