ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

The City of Lewisville has worked cooperatively with the City of Denton to request funding via a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice - Office of Justice Programs - Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (“JAG Grant”). The purpose of this grant is to allow the city to receive funding to purchase equipment for the Mobile Field Force unit, including uniforms and personal protective equipment. The City of Lewisville will receive $22,314 for this purpose. The City of Denton will reimburse funds once the equipment is purchased.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the contract and authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the contract as set forth in the caption above.
