ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
Resignations were received from two Animal Services Advisory Committee members: James Cooney, Place No. 3, on August 11, 2023; and, Beverly Freed, Animal Welfare Organization Representative, on September 12, 2023. Twenty-two (22) applications were submitted by residents who currently do not serve on a board or commission. David Margulies was one of the applicants, met the qualifications for service and was selected by the board appointment review team (Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Kelly and Councilmember Cade) as the nominee to fill the vacancy.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council accept two resignations, declare two vacancies, and appoint David Margulies to the Animal Services Advisory Committee as set forth in the caption above.
