ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:
A total of eight (8) bid invitations were downloaded from Bidsync.com. Five (5) bids were received and opened on August 16, 2018. This contract consists of replacing water meters throughout the City from residential size of 3/4 inch up to commercial size of 16 inch. Proposals were evaluated with regards to project approach, reference/similar projects, acquisition cost and interview. HydroPro Solutions is being recommended for award based on receiving the highest evaluation score. The term of the contract will be twelve months, with the option to extend up to five additional twelve-month periods for an overall estimated project total of $6M. Funding is available for this contract from the Meter Change Outs Capital Project.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the award as set forth in the caption above; and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement.
