ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

 

Mike and Tammie Lindley desire to build their new home in Lewisville’s Old Town area on North Edna Avenue. As a part of their home design they are also proposing to build a 1,440 square-foot detached garage and workshop. Any detached building exceeding 500 square feet requires a Special Use Permit.  The Zoning Board of Adjustment granted a variance for the height of the structure on January 2, 2019 and the Old Town Design Review Committee granted a Letter of Design Approval for the structure on January 14, 2019.  The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended unanimous approval (7-0) of the Special Use Permit request on December 18, 2018.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the City Council approve the ordinance as set forth in the caption above.
