ADMINISTRATIVE COMMENTS:

The Lewisville Independent School District is constructing a new career center on the Harmon High School campus, located at 1250 West Round Grove Road. The General Development Ordinance (GDO) requires a new engineering site plan for the entire 60.394-acre property for the new addition and requires that all items meet current codes.  The applicant is requesting re-approval of one existing variance and one new variance.  The following variances are requested:  a) to allow the existing 175 feet of chain link fence to remain along the east property line in lieu of the required screening, and b) to allow a public water line to be underneath pavement.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council approve the variances as set forth in the caption above with the condition that the owner will be responsible for any and all pavement repairs required due to maintenance or repair of the City water main performed by City crews or City’s contractor.
